What to know before you buy
- The AI agents here book a waiting patient into the canceled slot themselves. All 4 are sold to healthcare and dental organizations through a sales call.
- The one published price is $1,350 a month plus a $4,000 setup fee.
- For a small practice or salon, what you can buy today is the fixed-rule kind, usually inside your booking software: it texts the list and the first person to answer gets the slot.
- To fill a slot, the software has to be allowed to change your appointment book. Ask exactly what it can change.
More from our research
How real (from our first round of research)
There are two kinds of product here, and only one is AI. Nine products text your waitlist when a slot opens, but all nine do it by fixed rules: the list gets a message and the first person to answer gets the slot. One of them spells out in its own FAQ what happens when two people accept at once: whoever is second is told the appointment has gone. The four AI agents on the map work differently. They call or text the patients who asked to be seen sooner and book one of them into the slot themselves.
Watch for
All four AI agents are sold to healthcare and dental organizations through a sales call. Three publish no price, and the fourth publishes $1,350 a month plus a $4,000 setup fee. To fill a slot, software has to be allowed to change your appointment book, so the AI version ships inside systems sold to practices and groups, not as a product you sign up for. For a small practice or salon, what you can buy today is the fixed-rule kind, usually inside a larger booking package.
What owners say
A salon owner counts six or seven appointments a week lost to cancellations at short notice and people who simply do not turn up, and wants to know whether that is what everybody else sees. Another owner sets out the three choices as he understands them: put a proper waitlist in place, work the list yourself every time, or accept that some slots will go empty. The fixed-rule tools send the texts but leave the booking to whoever answers first. The AI agents make the booking themselves, but none is sold to an owner directly yet.
Questions to ask in the demo
- Does an AI do this, or does a rule? If the answer is “when X happens it sends Y”, you are buying automation, and it should not cost AI prices.
- Does it send, or does it draft? Ask for the sentence on their page that says it acts on its own.
- Does it do it on its own on this plan, or on the one above? The setting that lets it act without you is often a tier up from the entry price.
